What We Treat

Conditions

These are the concerns men bring to us most often. The descriptions below are general education, written to help you decide whether it is time to make an appointment — they are not a diagnosis.

  • Enlarged Prostate (BPH)

A non-cancerous increase in prostate size that is common with age and can make urination slow, frequent or difficult.

    Worth mentioning to us

    • A weak or interrupted urine stream
    • Needing to urinate often, especially at night
    • Trouble starting, or a feeling of not emptying fully
  • Prostate Health & Screening

Routine evaluation of the prostate, including discussion of PSA testing, so decisions are made with clear information rather than guesswork.

    Worth mentioning to us

    • A family history of prostate problems
    • An abnormal or rising PSA result
    • Questions about whether screening is right for you
  • Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms

Changes in how, when or how easily you urinate. These symptoms have many possible causes and deserve a proper evaluation.

    Worth mentioning to us

    • Urgency or leakage
    • Getting up more than once a night
    • Burning, straining or discomfort
  • Kidney Stones

Hard mineral deposits that form in the kidneys and can cause sudden, severe pain as they pass through the urinary tract.

    Worth mentioning to us

    • Sharp pain in the side or back
    • Blood in the urine
    • Nausea with pain episodes
  • Erectile Dysfunction

Difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection. It is common, it is medical, and it is often connected to overall cardiovascular health.

    Worth mentioning to us

    • A gradual change in firmness or reliability
    • New difficulty after starting a medication
    • Concerns you would rather discuss privately
  • Low Testosterone

Testosterone naturally declines with age. When levels are low and symptoms are present, a careful evaluation comes before any treatment.

    Worth mentioning to us

    • Persistent fatigue or low mood
    • Reduced interest in intimacy
    • Loss of muscle tone
  • Recurrent Urinary Infections

Infections that keep coming back are a signal to look for an underlying cause rather than simply repeating antibiotics.

    Worth mentioning to us

    • Burning with urination
    • Cloudy or strong-smelling urine
    • Repeat infections
  • Blood in the Urine

Visible or microscopic blood in the urine always deserves evaluation, even when there is no pain and it happens only once.

    Worth mentioning to us

    • Pink, red or cola-colored urine
    • Blood found on a routine urine test
    • Blood with or without discomfort

Not sure which of these fits?

You do not need a diagnosis to make an appointment. Describe the symptom in your own words and we will take it from there.
